Series Overview

Elysian Falls is a one-hour supernatural drama about what it means to build a life with someone when the world—and the afterlife—is built to tear you apart.

The story centers on Thanatos and Kalantaka. They've built a quiet, domestic life in a town called Elysian Falls—a liminal space that serves as a gateway between life and death. On the surface, they run a café-slash-curio shop. But their real job is processing souls, maintaining order in the afterlife, and keeping the peace between realms.

They’re also married—which, under current supernatural law, is illegal. And when Thanatos makes a secret deal with the queen of Hell to protect their home and relationship, he sets off a chain reaction that threatens everything they’ve built.

Into their world comes Talisa, a teenage girl who dies in a violent domestic attack—then comes back. She returns with broken memories of the afterlife and a relentless belief that her sister is still alive. As Talisa searches for answers, she unknowingly exposes a supernatural coup—and the lies Thanatos has told to keep his world from falling apart.

Tonally, Elysian Falls lives at the intersection of The Sandman, Good Omens, and Six Feet Under. It’s high-concept mythology grounded in intimate character stakes. At its heart, it’s a love story: about a couple fighting to stay together while holding the line between life and death—and a young girl determined to rewrite her fate.

This is a series about systems that fail us, and the people who refuse to let go—of each other, of justice, and of hope.
